KeepTheTime originally uploaded this video on July 29, 2012. Talk about being an OG watch channel on YouTube!

The Android (now Aragon) Virtuoso Tourbillon is a limited edition watch with a heavy case made from ceramic.

There were only 500 of this model (ref: AD501AK) made in the world. The watch in the video was a LOW number 01X/500!

Within the 50mm diameter solid ceramic case is a handwound mechanical tourbillon movement that was made in China. It is the caliber HZ3310 with a day/night indicator at 3:00, as well as a 24 hour GMT subdial at 9:00. The GMT hand moves with the central hour hand, but to set it to a second timezone, you would advance the hands forward until the GMT is set, then move the main hands backwards until the main time is set.

On the special denim blue leather strap featured in the video, this watch weighs in at 141 grams and 5 ounces. It stands 16mm tall on the wrist. It is not a small or lightweight watch by any means.

Although ceramic is tough and the crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire, this Virtuoso is far from a tourbillon tool watch. The push-pull crown doesn’t allow for more than 30m/100ft of water resistance, so try to keep it out of the water.

This timepiece is long gone and all sold-out. Android’s retail price at the time this watch was available was $3,000 USD.
