Vintage Elgin pocket watch with a swing out case made by Crescent Watch Case Company. That means that in order to view the movement of this piece, you need to unscrew the bezel, then pull the crown out to time setting mode, then put your thumbnail in the little gap at 6:00 to pry up the movement and “swing” the hinge open. To put it back, be sure that the crown is still pulled out so that the stem is not bent when shutting the “door”. This pocket watch was really made in USA over 100 years ago and is still ticking!

Condition: Running condition. Watch winds and sets smoothly via the crown. The setting lever engages for time setting when the crown is pulled out, and disengages as it should when the crown is pushed back in. The hands set smoothly. The case has wear but it is good overall. The dial has hairline spiderweb cracking. When fully wound, the movement puts out nice ticking sound that can be heard on the desk in front of you. This piece has not been serviced or polished by us.
