The idea behind the design of the URWERK UR-110 is that the time can easily be seen while most of the watch is covered by your sleeve. No need to flick the wrist with this timepiece, simply glance down without being discovered. Perfect for those long meetings or boring conversations.
The model in the video/pics is the UR-110PT with a platinum bezel. This configuration is limited to only 20 in the world and carries a retail price of more than $150,000 USD. It is powered by the amazing in-house Urwerk caliber UR-9.01 automatic movement. Full details here.
Check out the “Oil Change” indicator that lets you know when to send it in for a routine overhaul. This is based on a 3-5 year recommended service cycle.
“The UR-110 continues URWERK’s radical tradition of telling the time using orbiting satellite complications. In the UR-110, the time is always shown on the right side of the watch.” -Urwerk
“The satellites follow a vertical line, graded from 0 to 60 minutes, in a downward motion. The UR-110 also features a Control Board on the dial side with indicators for “Day/Night” and “Oil Change” – URWERK’s service interval display, as well as small seconds on a sub dial.” -Urwerk
“Turning the watch over, the titanium back encloses an innovative automatic winding system regulated by dual turbines.” -Urwerk

It’s eye catching and looks futuristic. I like it. I like that it has a titanium case.
But $150,000 USD ??? Please explain!
Reddit led me here and I’m glad it did. Well done my sirs.
Why would you need an oil change on a watch?
Is it really worth it?
