Boldr Freediver Odyssey Green

BOLDR Odyssey Freediver

Unavailable

Be BOLDR, wear a bold watch that doesn’t hold back. The Freediver is a modestly sized option in the Odyssey dive watch line-up. It’s perfect for tool watch collectors who prefer days without a boulder on their wrist.

This piece is the 202 green colorway with a textured dial and matching ceramic bezel. With the Freediver, it’s the details that matter. Check out that matching green datewheel! Green is hot in watches, but sometimes it’s just too much.

All greens are not created equal. This green is a classy deep emerald that is just green enough to look cool (better than any green Rolex has put out imho), but not too green to be pushed to the back of your watch box. You will wear this one and you’ll love it!

A note about the plastic boxes Boldr uses: They are great, but they aren’t made for these divers… so the inner foam has indentations and marks from this poor design, but it’s probably the way you would get it straight from them.

About the Movement:

Miyota caliber 9015

Manufactured in Japan by Miyota (owned by Citizen Watch Co.), the caliber 9015 is a solid performing workhorse movement found in many microbrand watches. What used to be referred to simply as an affordable Japanese automatic, is now often compared to well-known Swiss movements with the same 28,800vph frequency. The 9015 has seen an increase in respect amongst the community in recent years - also leading to an increased desirability and price.

Movement Type:

Automatic, self-winding mechanical movement. This watch is powered by the movement of your wrist, so you don't have to worry about replacing batteries every year or two!

FAQ:

Can you overwind it by wearing it too much? No! The more you wear it, the better it will run. Watches worn with a full power reserve will give you the best results. Wear it and enjoy it!

Quick Specs:
  • Jewels: 24
  • Power Reserve: 42 hours
  • Beat Rate: 28,800 bph, 4Hz (This is the same as ETA 2824-2 and Sellita SW200-1. A higher beat rate equates to a smoother sweeping seconds hand.)
  • Hacking? Yes. This means the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out in time-setting mode. Some collectors have come to appreciate this feature because it allows for more precision when setting the time.
  • Hand-Windable? Yes. Although this is an automatic movement, it can also be wound by hand using the crown.
