The RJ-Romain Jerome Batman-DNA (Ref: RJ.T.AU.WB.001.01) lights up the Bat-Signal every time the lights go out. In a partnership with DC Comics, this limited edition timepiece was produced to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Batman.
Each dial has been meticulously designed to feature a graphite-like silhouette of Gotham City. But, the highlight of this watch is the lume. The dials were engraved and filled with a bright blue burst of C1 SuperLuminova, making for an awesome lumeshot!
The 46mm steel case is dipped in a stealthy black PVD coating. Every bezel is hand-machined with inspiration coming from the contours and facets (or DNA if you will) of the Batmobile.
The Batman-DNA is powered by a Swiss automatic movement beating at 28,800 with 23 jewels and a 42 hour power reserve.
RJ was commissioned to make 75 watches available in the world. Each caseback is numbered and features a Batman medallion with Romain Jerome’s individualized “rough” finish.
A second model was produced the has more emphasis on Gotham City, with a laser engraved 3D map of buildings. If you’ve seen our Subcraft video review on YouTube, you might also be interested in the Batman version here.
